Map of Cambridgeshire originally published in 1611 by John Speed, digitally re-mastered from an antique original and printed onto photographic quality media. This larger sized format 30" x 25" (approx. 762 mm x 635 mm) is supplied rolled in a heavy duty protective cardboard tube.
A birds' eye view of Cambridge is illustrated, with all the colleges of the time included. Keeping with the university theme, four scholars have been portrayed, and the coats of arms of the colleges are depicted running around the sides of the map. At the bottom are the armorial devices of the Earls of Cambridge, together with the royal coat of arms making a total of 26 coats of arms on this lovely piece of artwork.
