Map of Scotland originally published in 1611 by John Speed, digitally re-mastered from an antique original and printed onto photographic quality media. Supplied flat in a polypropylene sleeve and back board, the 16" x 12" (approx. 406 mm x 305 mm) print can be removed from the protective sleeve for framing or retained in the sleeve.
Along the right and left sides of the map are full length portraits of King James I of Britain (James VI of Scotland), his wife and two sons. The Royal coats of arms of King James and Queen Anne are also illustrated above their respective portraits. The Hebrides are depicted on the map, along with the Orkney Isles. Also shown on the map are the lochs, rivers, hills and mountains, main castles and settlements of the country.
