Map of Berkshire originally published in 1611 by John Speed, digitally re-mastered from an antique original and printed onto photographic quality media. Supplied flat in a polypropylene sleeve and back board, the 16" x 12" (approx. 406 mm x 305 mm) print can be removed from the protective sleeve for framing or retained in the sleeve.
Running along the top of the map is a fantastic illustration of Windsor Castle as seen from across the Thames. On its left side is a description of the names of those who had received the order of the garter, whilst on its right is an illustration of King James I wearing the robes and insignia of the order. A depiction and description of the battle of Radcott Bridge is shown on the left side of the map,and a scale of miles and a compass take up the bottom corners.
